HOW TO SPRING CLEAN YOUR MAKEUP BAG

You should clean out your makeup bag at least once a season when you’re going to buy new colors anyway. Sometimes it only takes a new lip gloss to revive your makeup routine be ready for spring. The warmer months are a great time to try a brighter shade. Using expired skin care and makeup can be dangerous to the health of your complexion

Maximize the space you have in your makeup with multi-purpose products bag to revamp your routine. Cream blush can be used for cheeks lips and eyes for a dewy look and are great space and time savers. Skip foundation and use a BB, CC or a tinted moisturizer.

As for lip liners and lipsticks, keep your pencils sharpened and wipe off a layer or two of lipstick to  keep them fresh. If you happen to get sick or have a cold sore don’t fret about throwing it away just slice off the top part of the lipstick with a butter knife, put it in freezer for two hours and remove.

Makeup Brushes can be full of bacteria too! Every time you touch your brush to your face oil, makeup and germs get on it too. Take the time to clean them at the end of every week and store them carefully.

For Synthetic Brushes use an anti-bacterial soap or a shampoo, immerse the brush (not the handle) in water, and start washing your bush, rinse your brush under running water. Squeeze the bush together and watch all of the dirty makeup and oil come out. Repeat this until the water runs clear. We Love Mac Brushes!

For Natural Bristle Brushes use a good shampoo one that won’t strip the moisture of your brushes immerse the brush (not the handle) in water, and start washing your bush like you do your hair, Rinse your brush under running water. Squeeze the bush together and watch all of the dirty makeup and oil come out. Repeat this until the water runs clear. We Love Trish McEvoy brushes! Once your brush is clean, wipe it dry with a towel and lay it flat to dry never stand a brush up on its handle this could ruin the glue and loosen or deform the bristles.  The bottom line is when in doubt, throw it out! Your face will thank you.
